CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL
Configuration Management is a process for establishing and maintaining consistency of a product's performance, functional and physical attributes with its requirements, design and operational information throughout its life. It tracks the exact state and status of the configurable item. Configurable item is something which can change or its state can change at any point in time. A configurable item can be anything system, software, hardware, process, people, environment, etc. All data related to the configurable items is stored in a database system called as Configuration Management Database.
 
Configuration Management helps to verify that proposed changes are systematically considered to minimize adverse effects. Changes to the system are proposed, evaluated, and implemented using a standardized, systematic approach that ensures consistency, and proposed changes are evaluated in terms of their anticipated impact on the entire system. Configuration Management verifies that changes are carried out as prescribed and that documentation of items and systems reflects their true configuration. A complete Configuration Management program includes provisions for the storing, tracking, and updating of all system information on a component, subsystem, and system basis.
 
 
 
Examination:
AACPS Configuration Management Professional certification exam is based on the AACPS Body of Knowledge for IT Management System. The Exam is Theory based exam which contains multiple-choice questions from each major section of the AACPS Body of Knowledge for IT Management System. Exam is been closely monitored and proctored by the Accredited Examination Partners in more than 6000+ Accredited Training and Examination Partners located within 92 countries throughout the world.

Passing Score : 55 Questions (55%)
 
Pre-Requisite
In order to achieve the professional certification of AACPS Configuration Management Professional from the Association for Certification and Professional Studies candidate must mandatorily attend the Training conducted by AACPS Accredited Training Partner for the AACPS Configuration Management Professional Exam and achieve a passing score that is calculated based on points earned in the exam. There is no pre-requisite in terms of professional experience working in Configuration Management Team in order to appear for the AACPS Configuration Management Professional Exam.

Preparation
The candidates who wish to appear for the exam are strongly recommended and required to obtain Configuration Management training through an AACPS Accredited Training Partner and AACPS Accredited Trainer prior to appearing for the AACPS Configuration Management Professional Exam. Review the AACPS Body of Knowledge and reference materials provided by AACPS Accredited Training Partner. Take advantage of the Accredited Courseware and sample exam provided by Accredited Training Partner.
 
Certification
The result of the AACPS Configuration Management Professional Exam will be declared within 30 working days from the exam date. Upon successfully clearing the examination through AACPS Accredited Examination Centre successful candidates will receive a Soft copy Certificate within 15 working days and Hard copy of the certificate within 90 working days from the date of the declaration of Exam result. Successful Candidate name will be updated in Successful Candidate List within 90 days from the date of the declaration of Exam result. Professionals will also receive the AACPS Configuration Management Professional Marks and AACPS Code of Conduct which should be followed while using the information on public profiles such as LinkedIn. Professionals may use the designation AACPS Configuration Management Professional Certified or AACPS CMP Certified or any approved variation of the designation in accordance with the AACPS Code of Conduct.
