Certified Project Management
The AACPS Certified Project Management is based on the AACPS Body of Knowledge (BOK) for Project Management which combines the concepts, principles, tools, techniques and practices from the different Project Management techniques and approaches. This certification tests your knowledge in Project Management practices and ensures that you can be a valuable member of Project Management teams.

Project management is the discipline of planning, organizing, motivating, and controlling resources to achieve specific goals. A project is a temporary endeavour designed to produce a unique product, service or result with a defined beginning and end. Project management is not a science but just an art of how to handle projects in efficient way. Project Management is a skill of handling teams. Every project is indeed different in nature but every project has the basic fundamentals like scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communication, risk, vendors, stakeholders, change management, etc.

The temporary nature of projects stands in contrast with business as usual which are repetitive, permanent, or semi-permanent functional activities to produce products or services. Traditionally, project management includes a number of elements: five to six process groups, and a control system. Regardless of the methodology or terminology used, the same basic project management processes will be used. Major process groups generally include:

  • Initiation

  • Planning or design

  • Production or execution

  • Monitoring and controlling

  • Closing

  • Continual improvement
